These staircases may include many of the familiar details- the elegantly trimmed skirtboards, solid wood treads with the bullnosed edge detail, turned newel posts and the ever-popular “paint and stain” color combination with either wood or iron balusters to name a few.

We only use hand picked lumber, selected piece by piece from our vendor’s choice stock. All of our stair treads, landing platforms, skirtboards, risers, radius railing and many of the box newels are manufactured at our shop as a custom order exclusively for your project.

Our traditional wood balusters and newel posts, regardless of the style or species, are manufatured locally, often exclusively for your job and always made of solid wood, not wood composites. Our iron balusters are of the highest quality- we never use the hollow balusters or the “quick install” diy kits. Many of our solid iron baluster lines are manufactured locally, we also use designer balusters imported from Italy, Germany, Netherlands, and other parts of the world.

Our wrought iron railings and ornamental accents are custom fabricated at our shop exclusively for your job and finished either in powder coat, paint, faux finish or in any other custom option imaginable.

Our wood finishing procedures have been perfected over the years and borderline on art by now. We use only the highest quality sealers, stains, dyes, tints and clear coat products. Our waterborne lacquers are specifically designed for high-traffic areas and engineered by the manufacturer to be as slip-resistant as possible. Our paints are never brushed on but instead professionally sprayed using lacquer-based products rather than acrylic paints that have a low wear-and-tear resistance. Our vast library of completed projects will surely inspire you to look at your current stairs in a whole new way. Grab a phone and give us a call, we’ll be happy to help you design your new staircase.
